How to watch gamescom 2021 – All streams and shows

Gamescom 2021 kicks off on August 25. Here is everything you need to know about the various

streams and show for this year's online event.

Due to the pandemic gamescom has to once again go digital in 2021. Fans still have plenty to look forward to as many developers and publishers have announced streams and shows for gamecom.

The official gamescom program

This year’s event will last from August 25 to 27. Online access is free for all interested fans that want to watch the more than 70 developers presenting their new games. Among them also heavy-hitters like Activision, Bethesdam Epic Games, Electronic Arts, Konami and many more. You can follow the stream on the official Twitch channel of gamescom. Or on the gamescom now portal. Besides the official streams there will also be plenty of other streamers in many languages covering the event.

The show starts with the “gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25 at 18:30 CEST. The big presentations will run from 20:00 to 22:00 CEST, so make sure to tune in then for the newest announcements moderated by Geoff Keighley.

Following those the “gamescom studio” produced by IGN will start and show trailer premieres, gameplay deep dives and announcement analysis. IGN will also present the “gamescom: Awesome Indies” show, which will show off 40 Indie games with trailers and sketches. It will run on August 26 from 20:30 to 22:00 CEST.

Earlier on August 26 a more industry-focused event the gamescom congress will take place and discuss economic, cultural and societal potential of video games.

Additional shows by Xbox & more

Besides the official program from the gamescom, several companies will also run their own shows. One of them is Xbox, whose program will begin on August 24 on 19:00 CEST on the official Xbox channels.
