Dr Disrespect says he knows why he’s banned on Twitch, wants to sue the platform

The Dr Disrespect Twitch ban saga continues as the popular streamer has now said on his stream that he knows why he’s banned and that he’s suing.

It’s been over a year ever since Dr Disrespect was permanently banned from Twitch, which prompted a move to YouTube where he’s since been thriving. Now the popular streamer has spoken up about the ban saying he’s known the reason why he’s banned from the platform and that it’s been a “rollercoaster of emotions” for him.

Dr Disrespect went on to say that there is a huge reason why he hasn’t spoken out about it publicly and on his YouTube streams. He claims he’s in the process of suing Twitch and he seems pretty confident about the outcome. “There’s a reason why and I’m going to tell you right now. There’s a reason why we’re suing the f*ck out of them.”

If it does actually come to a lawsuit, it could be huge, considering the size of Dr Disrespect and the size of Twitch as a streaming platform. There could also be potential fallout for other Twitch streamers, as a lot of things about a potential lawsuit also point in the direction of a contract dispute, which could have an impact on the contracts Twitch has with other creators. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens next.
